Client Acquittal

We are delighted to confirm the acquittal of our client David Millward yesterday at the Nottingham Crown Court following a tragic railway accident on 22 January 2014.  Mr Millward was accused of failing in his duty under section 7 (a) of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, to take reasonable care for the health and safety of other people.

Following a 6 day trial in which he was brilliantly represented by Mr Neil Fitzgibbon, Counsel of 187 Fleet St, Mr Millward was acquitted by the jury.  Our instructions originally came from the National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers union who sought, as always, the effective representation of their member.
