How We Can Help You
We offer expert advice and representation with regard to Settlement Agreements where an employee is potentially leaving their employment. Settlement agreements are legally binding contracts that waive an individual’s rights to make a claim covered by the agreement to an employment tribunal or court. They usually provide the employee with a compensatory payment and / or provision for payment of their outstanding notice / accrued holiday pay.
Funding
The fees for this advice are covered soley by the employer but our fees would generally be between £250.00 and £500.00 plus VAT (charged at 20%). This covers advising you fully about the terms of the agreement and negotiating any necessary amendments with the employer if required, plus preparation of an Adviser’s Certificate which will be required to complete the process.
Disbursements are not typically incurred in relation to settlement agreements and in the unlikely event they are to be incurred we would obtain your prior approval before incurring any expense.
