Sarah Jamieson

Sarah has worked as a family solicitor for over 20 years. She is a member of the Law Society Children Panel. In care proceedings when working with parents, she will go through the local authority evidence forensically with the client in order that evidence is properly challenged. At the same time, she will seek to ensure that clients are realistic and understand those Local Authority concerns which are accurate. This is to ensure that the parent can work on those problems and show the Local Authority and Court they have insight and capacity to change. She will also challenge Local Authorities upon the level of support they are providing for families.

Sarah acts for children by their Cafcass children’s guardians. Sarah will carefully consider support needed for the child and advocate for the child on behalf of the Guardian. She will always to try to prevent delays in proceedings by thinking ahead , considering and the possible outcomes and parties’ non engagement.

Sarah has experience in working on cases where parents have mental health issues, learning disabilities, substance abuse and domestic violence issues. She has worked with Deaf clients and extensively Bangladeshi families, having previously worked in Tower Hamlets.

Sarah does most of her own advocacy.

Andrew Dowie is a Senior Solicitor within the Family and Matrimonial, and Wills and Probate Teams. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1998.

Andrew represents clients at all levels in the court system.

Within the Family Department Andrew specialises in resolving financial disputes and reaching settlements following separation or divorce / dissolution of civil partnerships, ranging from straight-forward situations to the more complex. He has extensive experience of advising in Children matters and also regularly drafts pre/post nuptial and separation agreements.

Within the Wills and Probate Department Andrew advises clients in the drafting of Wills, the administration of Probate, and those clients wishing to apply for Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Andrew is married with a young daughter, and when he has the opportunity he enjoys going to gigs, the theatre, football and reading modern fiction.

Sandy Randhawa is an experienced family and matrimonial solicitor who advises on all aspects of divorce, separation and nullity, including the resolution of financial, property and pension issues. Sandy also deals with cases involving an international element, jurisdiction disputes and issues relating to children, injunctions relevant to domestic abuse, and advises on cohabitation issues and pre-marital agreements.

She has represented a diverse range of clients both in England and internationally. These clients include footballers, senior company directors, pilots, teachers and police officers.

Sandy has successfully made a name for herself in dealing with complicated financial disputes involving high net worth assets, disputes regarding ownership of property, third party interests and trusts claims. Her understanding of important cultural practices in certain communities has assisted in carefully bringing complicated ownership claims to the court’s attention to ensure that she secures excellent results for her clients.

As a Senior Solicitor with years of experience, Sandy prides herself on treating each case individually and reaching a conclusion as sensitively and speedily as possible. She recognises that relationship breakdown is a very difficult and emotionally challenging time for clients and therefore provides as much support and understanding as possible. Sandys’ philosophy is to deal with matters in a conciliatory manner, whilst adopting a no nonsense approach to secure the best outcome for her clients.

As well as being a member of Resolution (formerly known as SFLA), Sandy is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a member of the Middlesex Law Society, having previously been the Lecture Secretary for the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire Law Society. Having appeared on television and radio, Sandy is regularly invited to deliver presentations to various organisations.
